Working as an E-Business Analyst for JD Williams my responsibilities revolved around the company's 25 e-commerce websites, corporate site and financial services site, and have primarily centred around designing changes and improvements to the sites in order to drive revenue and improve the customer experience. My role involved: - Designing changes to the websites, documenting requirements, and producing functional/technical specifications - Working on a variety of projects covering all aspects of the websites, ranging from small textual amendments through large development projects that involve multiple databases and backend legacy systems - Designing changes and improvements to the content management systems of the websites - Working with other team members to manage projects from inception, through design, development and testing cycles, through to implementation - Writing test steps and performing both system testing and user acceptance testing - Liaising with, and acting as a technical first point of contact for the customer services team and investigating problems with the site as reported by customers - Liaising with, and advising other areas of the business regarding the functionality and capabilities of the websites - Updating press releases and trading statements to the corporate website - Image production/manipulation - Mentoring new/junior members of the team Sample URLs: www.jdwilliams.co.uk www.simplybe.co.uk www.fashionworld.co.uk www.nbrown.co.uk
