Communications Manager

My current position is as Communications Manager for AVF Group, a TV wall mount manufacturer. This position includes responsibility on a global basis for all digital media, PR, advertising, exhibitions, and both internal and external communications.

Emphasis has been on the creation of a significant number of multi-region and multi-lingual websites where I have been able to develop company strategy, present at board level, yet maintain a hands-on approach with design and coding. Recent projects have included the launch of an e-commerce site in both the UK and US, and a global extranet utilising third-party software and bespoke coding to greatly improve internal communications.

- Responsibility for global communications strategy
- Design, development and management of numerous multi-region, multi-lingual websites
- Design and implementation of an e-commerce website operating out of both the UK and US
- Creation of a global corporate extranet, including a bespoke customer relationship management application
- Creation of a mobile-device optimised TV compatibility website
- Creation of an API for use by AVF customers to embed compatibility on their own websites
- Responsibility for expansion and data management of TV compatibility with products
- Management of the company web server and domains for all properties
- Advertising and PR internationally; both online and offline. Copy writing and the delivery of associated creative material, maintaining good relationships with publishers
- Project managing exhibition stands, logistics and personnel in locations such as Las Vegas, Rome and Berlin
